More than half the one thousand business contacts made during the 37th International Food and Beverage exhibition, Foodex Japan 2012, should generate US$ 14 million worth of business over the next 12 months. The preliminary data is from the private sector participants present in the Brazilian pavilion at the event last week in Tokyo, where 2,400 exhibitors from 63 countries received 75,000 visitors. Some 37 Brazilian companies participated in the exhibition, presenting a diverse portfolio of products. Among these were: processed chicken, turkey and pork, frozen foods, fresh chicken, fish, coffee, wine and sparkling wine, cachaça, ready drinks, fruit juices, palm heart, condiments & sauces, spices, breakfast cereals, panettone, toasted snacks, crackers, cookies, candies, chocolates, sweet parties, pastries, jellies, honey and propolis.
